John McClendon vs State of AZ Game and Fish

Last year I was cited by the AZ Game & Fish Department (AGFD) on a hunt for the Governors Tag. On August 4, 2008 I was found not guilty and all charges against me were dropped. I’ve been a guide for close to 30 years in AZ and have never had anything like this happen to me. I’ve always done my best and have taken the appropriate steps to build and maintain a reputation of high standards and ethics. This entire situation has been very stressful to me and my family. To have the AGFD treat me and my hunter, who has spent upwards of $500,000 to support wildlife conservation in AZ, in such a thoughtless manner has been very disappointing to say the least.
